Job Title: Planning Officer – Mechanical

Job Summary:
The Planning Officer – Mechanical will be responsible for preparing and managing maintenance plans and schedules based on long-term, mid-term, and Annual Work Schedules (AWS). The role ensures effective coordination between operations and maintenance teams to optimize equipment reliability and minimize downtime in offshore Oil & Gas operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare annual, monthly, and weekly maintenance plans and schedules.

Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to avoid production impact.

Prioritize tasks based on safety, criticality, and resource availability.

Create and manage work orders in CMMS.

Track backlog and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.

Review work orders to ensure proper allocation of manpower, materials, tools, and instructions.

Utilize repair history and condition monitoring data to develop accurate job scopes.

Lead job plan discussions and schedule work based on resource availability.

Ensure adherence to approved maintenance procedures and policies.
Qualifications:

Degree (B.Sc. / B.Tech / B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

5–8 years of maintenance planning experience, including at least 3 years in Oil & Gas in a Planning/Scheduler role.

Experience as a Planning Officer in I&C maintenance is preferred.
Skills:

Strong knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling techniques

Good understanding of mechanical engineering principles

Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, CMMS, and related planning software

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
