Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Advisor – Aviation to provide strategic guidance, expert advice, and technical support within the aviation sector. The role focuses on shaping aviation strategy, policies, and initiatives, with a strong emphasis on Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and UAS/UAV integration, while supporting overall sector growth, connectivity, and regulatory development.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance and expert advisory support to senior leadership and aviation sector stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of aviation strategies, ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives.
  • Advise on the development, harmonization, and implementation of aviation policies and regulations, particularly related to AAM and UAS/UAVs at local, national, and international levels.
  • Provide technical expertise on the integration of AAM solutions (eVTOL, air taxis) and UAS/UAV technologies, addressing regulatory, operational, and infrastructure challenges.
  • Support the negotiation, drafting, and review of Air Service Agreements (ASAs) and air traffic rights to enhance air connectivity and economic growth.
  • Assist in aviation budget development and resource allocation.
  • Develop Terms of Reference (TOR) and Requests for Tender (RFT) for consultancy services and oversee consultant performance.
  • Monitor aviation capacity and connectivity and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Represent the aviation sector at stakeholder meetings and industry forums, fostering collaboration and alignment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Aviation or a related field.
  • Masters degree in Business Administration or equivalent is preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 - 8 years of relevant experience in a similar aviation advisory role.

  • Advanced expertise in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and UAS/UAV technologies and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong strategic, technical, and policy advisory capabilities.
  • Proven experience in Air Service Agreements and traffic rights negotiations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess economic and policy impacts.
  • Experience in consultancy and project management within the aviation sector.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
