About the Role

The Human Resources Director is a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing human resource strategies in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. This role provides leadership and guidance to the HR team, overseeing all aspects of human resources management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training and development, performance management, and compliance. The Director of HR acts as a trusted advisor to senior management on all HR-related matters, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

Payroll System:

  • Oversee the hotel's human resources database and payroll system

Strategic HR Leadership:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization's business goals.

  • Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on HR-related matters, including organizational design, change management, and talent development.

  • Anticipate and address HR-related challenges and opportunities.

Talent Acquisition and Management:

  • Oversee companys recruitment and selection process, ensuring the acquisition of top talent.

  • Develop and implement effective onboarding and retention strategies.

  • Lead succession planning and talent development initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Design and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs.

  • Conduct regular market analysis to ensure compensation and benefits are aligned with industry standards.

  • Manage employee benefits programs and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Supervise, review, and update company regulations to ensure compliance and alignment with the Labor Protection Act.

Employee Relations:

  • Develop and implement employee relations policies and procedures.

  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues.

  • Conduct investigations and resolve employee grievances.

  • Foster a positive company culture.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training and development needs and develop effective programs.

  • Oversee the delivery of training programs and evaluate their effectiveness.

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development.

Performance Management:

  • Develop and implement a performance management system that drives employee performance.

  • Provide guidance and support to managers on performance management processes.

  • Ensure performance evaluations are conducted fairly and consistently.

  • Implement systems to monitor and report on HR metrics, enabling data-driven decision-making. (Knowledge of Hotel's Security is preferred)

  • Target setting, KPI evaluation, orientation, probationary performance evaluation, and investigation & consideration of disciplinary penalty

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that mitigate risk.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records.

  • Manage HR Audits.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and develop the HR team, providing coaching and mentoring.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

  • Manage the HR budget and resources effectively.

HR Analytics:

  • Utilize HR metrics and data to drive informed decision making.

  • Generate reports and present findings to senior management.

  • Identify trends and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR strategies.

  • Experience in the hotel/hospitality industry is a plus.

  • Strong leadership and management skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with all levels of the organization.

  • Strong analytical skills, Excellent presentation skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Language Proficiency

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time position based at the corporate office: Trendy Building, Sukhumvit 13 Bangkok, Thailand

  • Regular office hours are from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., Monday to Friday

  • Wednesday WFH, other days from the office (Trendy Building), travel to different properties (~1 week a month
