Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the execution and quality control of our housekeeping operations, with a primary focus on inspections and standards enforcement.

This role is heavily field-based and responsible for ensuring that every home meets Beachside VR's cleanliness and presentation standards prior to guest arrival. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, a strong sense of accountability, and the ability to identify issues before they impact the guest experience.

This position also plays a key role in verifying the accuracy and completion of housekeeping tasks within our operational systems.


Key Responsibilities

Inspections & Quality Control (Primary Focus)

  • Conduct thorough pre-arrival inspections across all assigned properties

  • Ensure homes meet company standards for cleanliness, staging, and readiness

  • Identify and document deficiencies, including cleaning gaps, maintenance issues, and inventory shortages

  • Verify all key areas (kitchens, bathrooms, linens, high-touch surfaces, under furniture, etc.) meet expectations

Breezeway Oversight & Accuracy

  • Review and validate housekeeping tasks within Breezeway for completeness and accuracy

  • Ensure tasks are properly completed, documented, and closed out

  • Flag inconsistencies or missed items and ensure corrective action is taken

Team Support & Accountability

  • Provide clear, direct feedback to housekeepers based on inspection findings

  • Support the Housekeeping Manager in maintaining team accountability and performance standards

  • Assist with cleaning turnovers as needed on high-volume days

Operational Coordination

  • Communicate real-time issues to Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Guest Experience teams

  • Assist in prioritizing re-cleans or urgent corrections ahead of guest arrivals

  • Monitor readiness status across properties to ensure on-time turnovers


Qualifications

  • Previous experience in housekeeping, inspections, or quality control (short-term rentals, hotels, or hospitality preferred)

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to consistently identify cleaning and presentation issues

  • Familiarity with housekeeping operations and turnover processes

  • Experience using or willingness to learn platforms such as Breezeway and Slack

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, field-based environment with multiple properties

  • Clean driving record and valid license


Compensation & Benefits

  • $18–$19 per hour, based on experience

  • Two (2) weeks paid time off (PTO)
