Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager with proven expertise in sourcing products/goods from China to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the FMCG industry, a minimum of 15 years of professional experience, and mandatory hands-on knowledge in dealing with Chinese suppliers and manufacturers, along with Mandarin proficiency. This role will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating optimal commercial terms while ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute China sourcing strategies, covering supplier identification, evaluation, and onboarding
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with suppliers to secure optimal value for the company
• Manage and monitor supplier performance to ensure product quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while continuously exploring new sourcing and market opportunities in China
• Conduct market research, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare sourcing performance reports for senior management

Requirements:

• Minimum of 15 years of experience
• Proficiency in Mandarin is a must
• Strong understanding and experience in the FMCG industry
• Knowledge and hands-on exposure to international sourcing or trading, particularly in sourcing products or goods from China
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to travel as needed
