The Event Technology Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of technology solutions that support virtual, hybrid, and in-person events. This role ensures seamless event execution through the integration of audio-visual systems, event platforms, live streaming tools, and digital engagement technologies. The Event Technology Manager collaborates with internal teams, vendors, and clients to deliver high-quality, technologically sophisticated events.

This position is strictly limited to candidates who currently reside in the United States and are legally authorized to work in the U.S. Applications from individuals residing outside the United States will be rejected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the evaluation, implementation, and management of event technology platforms (e.g., virtual event software, registration tools, streaming solutions)

  • Plan, configure, and oversee technical aspects of virtual, hybrid, and live events

  • Collaborate with event planners, production teams, and external vendors to ensure successful execution

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during events promptly

  • Train internal teams and clients on event technology usage and best practices

  • Develop and maintain event technology documentation, manuals, and SOPs

  • Manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships for technology services

  • Evaluate emerging event technology trends and recommend innovative solutions

  • Monitor event analytics and metrics to optimize technology performance and attendee engagement

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Event Management, Communications, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in event technology, AV production, or digital event management

  • Proven experience managing virtual and hybrid event platforms

  • Strong knowledge of audio-visual systems, live streaming tools, and event production technologies

  • Excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment

  • Experience coordinating multiple events simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with platforms such as Zoom Events, Hopin, ON24, vFairs, or Cvent

  • Knowledge of video production, live streaming, and interactive audience engagement tools

  • Certification in event technology, project management (PMP, CAPM), or related fields

  • Experience managing remote teams or cross-functional event technology projects

Compensation

  • Annual Salary Range: $95,000 – $135,000 USD, based on experience and scope of responsibilities
