We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Principal Enterprise Architect to lead the design, governance, and evolution of enterprise-wide technology architecture in a fully remote environment. This role is responsible for aligning business strategy with technology solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and long-term sustainability across systems, platforms, and infrastructure.

This position is strictly limited to candidates who currently reside in the United States and are legally authorized to work in the U.S. Applications from individuals residing outside the United States will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities.

Define, maintain, and govern enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and roadmaps

Partner with executive leadership to align IT strategy with business objectives

Lead architecture design across application, data, integration, cloud, and infrastructure domains

Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that support innovation and efficiency

Provide architectural oversight for large-scale, complex programs and initiatives

Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and data governance requirements

Guide and mentor solution architects, domain architects, and technical teams

Develop and present executive-level architecture documentation, business cases, and technology roadmaps

Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, product, and operations teams to ensure architectural consistency

Support vendor evaluations, technology selection, and enterprise platform decisions

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; Masters degree preferred

Minimum of 12–15 years of progressive experience in IT architecture, including enterprise-level design

Demonstrated experience as an Enterprise Architect or Principal Architect in complex environments

Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman)

Deep understanding of cloud platforms, enterprise applications, integration patterns, and data architecture

Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive architectural governance

Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills

Ability to work independently and lead distributed teams in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

TOGAF, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certifications

Experience with large-scale digital transformation initiatives

Background in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, government, or telecommunications

Strong understanding of cybersecurity architecture and risk management

Compensation

Annual Salary Range: $165,000 – $215,000 USD, commensurate with experience, expertise, and geographic location
