Senior Consultant - Data Engineer

Position Overview:

We are looking for an entry-level to intermediate Data Engineer with a strong desire to learn and contribute to our Data Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of data pipelines, cloud technologies, and an interest in Graph technology and Generative AI.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, construction, and maintenance of simple to moderately complex data pipelines.
• Collaborate with team members to establish data connections between systems.
• Work alongside senior engineers to perform data wrangling tasks.
• Support Data Scientists and Business Analysts by preparing and cleaning data sets.
• Gain experience with cloud-based solutions using platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions about best practices and new technologies.
• Assist in monitoring data security and compliance measures.
• Begin exploring Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) with guidance from senior team members.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Up to 3 years of professional experience, which can include internships.
• Basic programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Understanding of SQL and exposure to any relational database like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Interest in cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Familiarity with or strong interest in Graph technology.
• An eagerness to learn about Generative AI and LLMs.
• Any academic or professional exposure to retail, financial, telco, or manufacturing industries is a plus but not required.
• Good communication skills for collaborating within the team and across departments.
