Position Summary

  • Lead proactive electrical reliability engineering across commissioning, start-up, and steady-state operations.
  • Ensure integrity and performance of MV/LV systems, transformers, MCCs, and protection systems in industrial environments.
  • Embed structured reliability and statutory compliance processes aligned with ISO 55001 and RCM principles.

Core Responsibilities

  • Participate in commissioning walkdowns and establish reliability baselines prior to handover.
  • Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and bad actor elimination programs.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Support shutdown planning and reliability risk mitigation.

Risk Assessment (R/A) & Baseline Establishment

  • Lead structured Risk Assessments (R/A) for critical assets and systems.
  • Establish reliability baselines (condition monitoring, inspection data, performance history).
  • Develop and maintain risk registers aligned to asset criticality.
  • Ensure mitigation actions are embedded into maintenance plans and shutdown scopes.

SOP Governance & Standards

  • Review existing SOPs and convert to client format.
  • Establish and maintain an SOP tracking register (ownership, revision control, approval status).
  • Draft new SOPs aligned to current operating configuration and risk profile.
  • Ensure integration of LOTO, statutory, and safety requirements into SOP framework.

Plant & Equipment Experience Requirements

  • Demonstrated site-based plant experience in heavy industrial environments.
  • Strong understanding of plant process flows and engineering interfaces.
  • Experience with Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) and large industrial assets.
  • Exposure to commissioning, ramp-up, and steady-state reliability management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 6–10 years reliability experience in heavy industrial plants.
  • Strong knowledge of MV/LV systems and protection coordination.
