Our client is looking for an experienced Associate Director, Autism Center to join their leadership team.

The Associate Director, Autism Center will lead the clinical services of the Autism Center, an integrated research and clinical center dedicated to autism research, diagnosis, evaluations, treatment and support of autism and co-occurring neurodevelopmental conditions. You will maintain a clinical caseload and oversee a team of mental health professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, and fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment. Reporting to the Center Director, you will work in lockstep with clinical and research leadership to rigorously implement clinical protocols of research studies that drive the innovative delivery of evaluation and treatment within the Autism Center.
This is a full-time, exempt, hybrid position (minimum 4 days in office per week) located in Midtown, New York.
Essential Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to a multidisciplinary team of clinicians.
- Implement the Autism Center unified clinical research strategic plan.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review cases, share updates, and foster a collaborative environment.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, professional standards, and ethical guidelines.
- Contribute to predoctoral and/or postdoctoral fellows' clinical training through direct supervision
Administrative
- Manage schedules, assignments, and workloads to ensure team members are meeting or exceeding productivity requirements.
- Oversee documentation and reporting to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with legal requirements.
Clinical Oversight
- Monitor and ensure the quality and effectiveness of client care, maintaining adherence to evidence-based practices and research requirements.
- Review treatment plans and progress notes, offering constructive feedback to team members.
- Support team members in managing complex cases, including crisis intervention and high-risk scenarios.
Client Care
- Maintain a clinical and research caseload and demonstrate best practices in the evaluation and treatment of autism and related conditions.
- Provide direct services, including assessments, individual therapy, and group facilitation as needed.
- Serve as a point of escalation for complex client concerns or emergencies.
Research Clinical Integration
- Collaborate with research leadership to implement high quality research studies aimed to identify objective markers that can guide interventions, more precise recognition and develop novel care approaches.
General Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in clinical psychology or a related field.
- Eligibility for an unrestricted license to practice psychology in the State of New York.
- At least 5 years of clinical experience treating and evaluating autism and related conditions
- Experience in the administration and scoring of ADOS-2 and ADI-R and research reliability in at least one of these instruments
- Experience managing complex or challenging mental health presentations in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience building relationships across diverse clinical, academic, and community groups.
- At least 2 years of supervision and management experience.

Pay Range
The anticipated salary range for this position is $200,000 - $260,000 USD annually. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
