Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager will oversee all phases of construction projects in Scottsdale, AZ, primarily for a key client in the real estate development sector. This role involves managing high-profile, luxury residential and mixed-use projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Senior Project Manager will report to the Regional Director and coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
  • Client Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, maintaining clear communication to align project objectives with client expectations, particularly for luxury residential and mixed-use developments.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams, including field technicians, laborers, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve project goals.
  • Budget and Cost Management: Oversee project budgets, forecast costs, estimate change orders, and ensure profitability while adhering to contractual obligations.
  • Quality and Safety Compliance: Ensure all projects meet or exceed safety standards, quality requirements, and local regulations, maintaining the companys commitment to excellence.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Interface with architects, engineers, consultants, and general contractors to manage project deliverables from feasibility through construction administration.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, including construction feasibility, environmental compliance, and schedule delays, to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, provide regular updates to senior leadership, and ensure transparency in project progress and challenges.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager in construction, with a focus on luxury residential, mixed-use, or commercial projects. Experience in Scottsdale or the greater Phoenix area is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
    • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities to handle complex project timelines and deliverables.
    • Proficient in construction scheduling software (e.g., Procore) and project management tools.
    • Excellent communication and client-facing skills to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
    • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, budgeting, and cost estimation.
  • Certifications: PMP, LEED AP, or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Scottsdale, AZ. Some travel may be required for project oversight.
