Senior Structural Engineer job - Birmingham East (376)

East Birmingham civil and structural consultancy requires a Senior Structural Engineer due to continued growth.

From complex new-build developments to bespoke refurbishments and structural alterations, their experienced team of engineers work on a wide range of projects covering many construction sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the structural design and delivery of projects from concept through to construction stage.
• Manage day-to-day project coordination and represent the company at meetings with clients, designers, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Provide line management and technical guidance to early-career engineers and technicians supporting your projects.
• Undertake structural analysis and design of structures in steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Carry out structural assessments, refurbishment design and alterations to existing buildings.
• Produce clear and concise reports, specifications and design calculations.
• Ensure designs comply with Eurocodes, UK building regulations and relevant industry standards.
• Support project programmes, budgets and quality standards while managing your own workload.

Requirements:

• Proven technical delivery of UK structural engineering projects.
• Strong technical knowledge across a wide variety of building types.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• Experience mentoring or supervising engineers and technicians.
• Experience preparing tenders and fee proposals (Desirable)
• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• A proactive approach with a can-do attitude.
