The Opportunity

Our client, a high-growth startup backed by top-tier VCs, is looking for a Founding Engineer to architect the core systems of an AI agent platform designed for the e-commerce and fintech space. This isn't just a coding role—its an invitation to own the technical roadmap, build reliable infrastructure from scratch, and define the engineering culture of a company destined to scale.

What You'll Do

  • Architect & Build: Design, develop, and scale product infrastructure, developer tools, and APIs from conception to production.
  • Solve Complexity: Build robust backend systems capable of handling the nuances of high-stakes payment and checkout workflows.
  • Drive Innovation: Use bleeding-edge tech to ensure low-latency performance and system reliability.
  • Scale the Team: Influence hiring decisions and help cultivate a high-performance, collaborative engineering environment.

What Were Looking For

  • Experience: 2–6 years of full-stack engineering experience, preferably at a reputable VC-backed startup or a top-tier tech firm.
  • The "Builder" Mentality: You don't just wait for tickets; you ship full-stack side projects independently.
  • Technical Stack: Deep proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Relational Databases (Postgres/MySQL).
  • Automation Expertise: Hands-on experience with browser automation tools like Playwright.
  • The "Plus" Factor: Experience as a sneaker bot developer is a massive advantage—we value the grit and technical creativity required to win in competitive, high-speed environments.
  • Education: A degree in CS from a top-tier program (Stanford, Berkeley, etc.) or experience at "talent-dense" companies (e.g., Palantir, Ramp, SpaceX).
