Job Openings GTM Engineer

About the job GTM Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Founding GTM Engineer to architect and own their outbound engine from the ground up. This is a high-impact, builder role at an AI-native startup where you will design the infrastructure that drives pipeline and revenue. We are looking for a "hacker at heart"—someone who thinks like an engineer, acts like a growth operator, and builds durable systems rather than manual processes.

The ideal candidate is a fast learner who can conduct deep research into government power structures, track policy shifts, and build automated outreach systems that solve entire categories of problems.

What You'll Do

  • Own the Outbound Engine End-to-End: Drive growth in booked meetings by building scalable sequences, defining targeting logic, and ensuring the right prospects are contacted at the right time.
  • Build AI-Powered Infrastructure: Design enrichment and messaging workflows using tools like Clay, n8n, and LLMs to deliver high-quality, personalized outreach at scale.
  • Map Power Structures: Identify key decision-makers, budget holders, and influencers within government and workforce development sectors.
  • Operationalize Accountability: Implement routing and notification systems so the team knows when accounts go cold or engagement spikes.
  • Run GTM Experiments: Test new vertical strategies and segmentation models to unlock additional revenue streams.
  • Iterate Hands-On: Lead the entire research and outreach process, including running the outreach yourself to iterate and improve the system.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in consulting or early-stage GTM/RevOps focused on building automated GTM systems.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient with Python, JavaScript, or SQL, and experienced in connecting systems via APIs and webhooks.
  • Automation Mastery: Deep familiarity with tools like Clay, n8n, Make, or Zapier, or strong LLM prompting skills for automation.
  • Strategic Research: Ability to get up to speed on new topics quickly and translate research into actionable GTM materials.
  • Interest: A genuine curiosity about politics, government, and institutional sales.
  • Location: Must be able to work on-site in New York City.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Previous founder experience or experience at an early-stage startup.
  • Experience in government, politics, or high-stakes institutional sales.
  • Experience building growth systems at a fast-growing, consumer-facing company.
