Budget and Report Accountant

We are looking for a professional Budget and Reporting Accountant who will be responsible for managing the University budgeting cycle, preparing accurate financial reports, analyzing variances, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of accounting principles, and experience working in compliance with Saudi GAAP and international financial standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and periodic rolling forecasts.
• Monitor actual financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying and explaining variances.
• Consolidate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and local financial regulations.
• Coordinate with department heads to assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary financial documentation.
• Prepare management reports and presentations highlighting key financial trends and insights.
• Assist in developing and improving financial systems and procedures.
• Stay updated on changes in Saudi financial regulations and tax requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification (e.g., MBA, Masters) is a plus.
• Professional certification of SOCPA is advantage . 
• Minimum of 3-  years of relevant experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis preferably in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
• Strong understanding of Saudi GAAP, VAT regulations , and local financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
• Excellent Excel skills and ability to build financial models and dashboards.
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in Arabic ; English is an advantage.
