The Faculty Performance Evaluation Specialist will coordinate with the Human Capital Department and academic programs to design, implement, and monitor an effective performance evaluation system for faculty members. The successful candidate will ensure that evaluations align with national and international standards, support individual growth, and contribute to the Sulaiman Al Rajhi University mission of academic excellence and institutional quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Developing and Implementing Performance Evaluation Systems:

Design and implement objective, evidence-based methodologies for evaluating faculty across teaching, research, and community service .

Update evaluation criteria based on international best practices and evolving academic standards.

Ensure alignment between faculty competencies and performance outcomes.

2. Managing Periodic Evaluation Processes:

Coordinate annual and monthly performance evaluations for faculty members.

Collect and analyze data from multiple sources including student feedback, peer reviews, self-assessments , and academic records.

Prepare detailed evaluation reports to support decision-making by relevant departments.

3. Providing Support and Guidance for Improvement:

Develop individualized faculty improvement plans based on evaluation findings.

Collaborate with the Professional Development Unit to deliver targeted training and mentoring programs.

4. Analyzing Academic and Research Performance:

Monitor faculty engagement in academic activities such as research publications, supervision, conference participation , and committee involvement.

Assess how these contributions align with institutional goals and quality benchmarks.

5. Promoting Academic Excellence and Quality Culture:

Conduct workshops and training sessions to raise awareness about the importance of performance evaluation.

Encourage a culture of continuous improvement , innovation, and excellence in teaching and learning.

6. Developing Evaluation Tools and Systems:

Utilize modern electronic systems and analytics tools to track faculty performance and generate actionable insights.

Propose and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with the university strategic objectives and academic rankings.

7. Coordination with Internal and External Stakeholders:

Work closely with Human Capital, Quality Assurance, and Professional Development units to enhance academic standards.

Engage with local and international educational bodies to ensure compliance with accreditation and evaluation requirements.

8. Reporting and Recommendations to Senior Management:

Prepare analytical reports and recommendations for senior leadership regarding faculty performance trends and development needs.

Contribute to the preparation of the SRU Annual Quality and Academic Performance Reports .

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education:

Bachelors degree in Higher Education Administration, Human Resources, Quality Management, Data Analysis , or a related field.

A Masters degree or certifications in academic performance evaluation, quality assurance, or HR analytics are preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of one (1) year of experience in faculty performance evaluation, academic quality assurance , or data-driven HR systems in higher education institutions.

Experience with performance evaluation tools, KPI frameworks , and academic data analysis software is essential.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of faculty evaluation standards and best practices in higher education.
  • Advanced data analysis skills using tools such as Excel, Power BI , or similar platforms.
  • Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills .
  • Ability to engage effectively with faculty and academic leadership.
  • Proficiency in both Arabic and English , spoken and written.
