General Objective:

The Curriculum Specialist will play a key role in designing, evaluating, and enhancing academic curricula and teaching methodologies at Sulaiman Al Rajhi University. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty members and academic departments to ensure alignment with learning outcomes, modern pedagogical practices, and national educational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Development and Evaluation:

  • Design and develop academic curricula in accordance with approved academic standards.
  • Review and update course and program specifications as needed.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing curricula and propose recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure that curricula are fully aligned with intended learning outcomes.

2. Teaching Methods Support and Development:

  • Plan and deliver workshops on innovative teaching methodologies.
  • Develop instructional tools, resources, and materials to support effective teaching.
  • Collaborate with digital learning specialists to integrate modern technologies into classroom instruction and online learning environments.

3. Enhancing Educational Quality:

  • Monitor adherence to quality standards in both curricular design and teaching delivery.
  • Assess the effectiveness of implemented teaching strategies through data-driven analysis.
  • Analyze student assessment results and correlate them with curriculum performance.
  • Recommend and implement solutions to improve overall student learning outcomes.

4. Research and Development:

  • Conduct research studies on the effectiveness of curricula and instructional methods.
  • Keep abreast of emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in curriculum and teaching.
  • Propose and lead initiatives aimed at improving the quality of education and student engagement.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education:

  • A Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction , Education , or a related field.
  • Alternatively, recognized professional certifications in areas such as modern teaching methodologies, curriculum design, or e-learning may be considered.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in curriculum development and academic instruction.
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of academic curricula .
  • Experience in e-learning, blended learning , and digital content development is essential.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate curricula and suggest improvements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation abilities.
  • Proficiency in using modern educational technologies , LMS platforms, and instructional design tools.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic required for this job.
