Job Openings Senior Manager, Analytics Platform & AI Strategy

About the job Senior Manager, Analytics Platform & AI Strategy

Our client, a growing and very reputable biopharma company, is seeking a Senior Manager to own and advance their Enterprise Analytics & AI Platform. This leader will be responsible for setting strategy, shaping architecture, and delivering next-generation business intelligence and AI-driven analytics capabilities across a complex, matrixed organization.

This role lives at the crossroads of data infrastructure, business intelligence, and applied AI. You'll lead the evolution away from legacy dashboard culture toward AI-powered, semantic, and self-service analytics experiences that scale across the enterprise. The ideal candidate brings deep technical fluency, platform-level thinking and the leadership chops to drive lasting change — all in service of a broader, modern data vision.

What You'll Own

  • Govern and continuously improve an enterprise BI ecosystem spanning multiple platforms; rationalize tool usage, establish standards, and reduce fragmentation
  • Define scalable patterns for dashboard development, performance tuning, governance, and access control
  • Champion migration toward a unified, metadata-driven analytics experience
  • Build and execute a roadmap for AI-enabled analytics — including natural language querying, embedded AI insights, copilots, and automated anomaly detection
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies such as LLM-based analytics and semantic querying capabilities
  • Ensure seamless integration across a lean BI layer, business transformation logic, a semantic layer, and a metadata/governance layer
  • Serve as the primary connector between business stakeholders and the analytics platform
  • Accelerate adoption of modern analytics capabilities across functions and business units
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, reusable platform solutions
  • Champion data literacy and meaningful use of analytics tools across the organization
  • Partner with enterprise data governance teams to align on standards and policy

What You Bring

  • BS degree required; Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related technical field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in BI, analytics engineering, or data platform roles
  • 3+ years of operational or people management experience
  • Demonstrated experience with AI/BI or augmented analytics
  • Deep hands-on expertise with at least two enterprise BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Spotfire)
  • Strong working knowledge of modern cloud data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake), SQL, and data modeling
  • Experience with transformation frameworks (e.g., dbt or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with metadata management and data governance concepts (e.g., data lineage, catalog tooling)
  • Experience in a regulated industry — pharma, biotech, or life sciences — a strong plus

Compensation

  • Annual Salary Range: $150,000 – $165,000.
  • Annual Cash Bonus: 15% target (performance-based)
  • Long-Term Incentives: Generous LTI plan

*The salary offered will be commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
