Our client is a white-label payment orchestration platform that offers a simple way to kickstart and manage new payment services, streamline payment processes, and guarantee seamless and transparent management for merchants.

We are now moving into a new phase embedding AI at the core of our architecture to automate decisions, optimize integrations, and accelerate every process from transaction routing to compliance monitoring.

About the Role

We are looking for an engineer who can design and build AI-driven services around our payment products: process automation, intelligent data processing, LLM integrations, and internal tools.
A role for someone who wants ownership and the ability to build systems from scratch.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop backend services using Node.js (NestJS or Express) and TypeScript.
  • Integrate with OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex and other AI/ML providers.
  • Build microservices for payments processing, risk signals automation, and intelligent document handling (KYC/AML).
  • Create internal automation tools: chat agents, analytical bots, workflows.
  • Design and maintain pipelines: text processing, classification, transaction analysis.
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and security.
  • Work with data layers: PostgreSQL, Redis, message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
  • Write documentation and ensure proper unit/integration test coverage.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with Node.js + TypeScript (3+ years).

  • Hands-on with NestJS or Express.
  • Proven experience integrating AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Azure).
  • Understanding of LLM concepts: embeddings, vector databases, RAG architectures.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and event-driven systems.
  • Solid Git and CI/CD understanding.
  • Ability to build scalable backend solutions end-to-end.

Nice to Have

  • Basic Python for ML scripts.

  • Experience with LangChain or LlamaIndex.

  • AWS or GCP (Lambda, ECS, S3, Cloud Run, etc.).
