About the job Registered Nurse (Private Duty Nursing Red Oak, TX)
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (PDN) to provide in-home care for a pediatric patient in the Red Oak, TX area. This role requires a dedicated professional willing to work 3-4 weekdays from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM and 1 Saturday per month. The patient presents with a gastrostomy button (GB) and seizure diagnosis. Scheduling is flexible.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Deliver skilled nursing care in accordance with the individualized plan of care, physician orders, and clinical protocols.

Conduct comprehensive and ongoing assessments of the patients health status and response to treatment.

Provide vigilant monitoring of seizure activity and management of gastrostomy care.

Collaborate with family members and interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity, quality, and effectiveness of care.

Educate family on diagnosis, treatment plan, and preventive care.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.

Perform all duties under the clinical oversight of licensed supervisory staff and in coordination with agency leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements

Current and unrestricted Registered Nursing License in the State of Texas.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.

Minimum of one (1) year of clinical healthcare experience preferred.

Pediatric and/or home health experience strongly preferred, particularly in seizure management and gastrostomy care.

Must have valid drivers license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation.

Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Bachelors degree program in Nursing.
Physical Demands

Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds.

Capable of performing duties that may include prolonged standing, bending, and patient handling.
