Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (PDN) to provide in-home care for a pediatric patient in the Red Oak, TX area. This role requires a dedicated professional willing to work 3-4 weekdays from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM and 1 Saturday per month. The patient presents with a gastrostomy button (GB) and seizure diagnosis. Scheduling is flexible.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver skilled nursing care in accordance with the individualized plan of care, physician orders, and clinical protocols.

  • Conduct comprehensive and ongoing assessments of the patients health status and response to treatment.

  • Provide vigilant monitoring of seizure activity and management of gastrostomy care.

  • Collaborate with family members and interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity, quality, and effectiveness of care.

  • Educate family on diagnosis, treatment plan, and preventive care.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.

  • Perform all duties under the clinical oversight of licensed supervisory staff and in coordination with agency leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nursing License in the State of Texas.

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.

  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical healthcare experience preferred.

  • Pediatric and/or home health experience strongly preferred, particularly in seizure management and gastrostomy care.

  • Must have valid drivers license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation.

  • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Bachelors degree program in Nursing.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds.

  • Capable of performing duties that may include prolonged standing, bending, and patient handling.
