Your Superpowers (aka Responsibilities)

• Architect the Future: Define the technical vision and architecture for our Unity games, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Be the First Tech Hero: As our first technical leader, shape the engineering culture, establish best practices, and set up workflows that scale.
• Lead Development: Guide, mentor, and empower Unity developers to build smooth, efficient, and fun gaming experiences.
• Code Like a Pro: Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot Unity-based gameplay mechanics, UI, and core game systems.
• Performance & Optimization: Ensure smooth gameplay across a wide range of devices, using best practices for rendering, memory management, and physics.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with designers, artists, and product teams to bring creative visions to life.
• Tooling & Automation: Build internal tools and pipelines that speed up development and improve efficiency.
• Scale for Success: Plan for the future by identifying risks, balancing development speed vs. technical debt, and keeping our games competitive.
• Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep up with new technologies, evaluate industry trends, and champion the best solutions.

The Ideal Hero (aka Requirements)

• Unity Mastery: Deep expertise in Unity (C#) development for mobile, with a strong focus on scalability and maintainability.
• Technical Leadership: Experience leading a development team, mentoring engineers, and driving technical excellence.
• Architecture & Performance: Proven experience designing game architectures and optimizing performance on mobile.
• Rendering & Graphics: Strong understanding of rendering pipelines, shaders, animation systems, and UI development.
• Tooling & Automation: Experience creating custom tools and workflows to improve efficiency.
• Passion for Games: We want someone who loves games and understands the intricacies of game design & development.
• Experience working in a hyper-casual or casual mobile gaming studio.
