A Sales Engineer is a critical liaison between the customer and the Company. The Sales Engineer is considered a technical expert in grouting and foundation solutions and must become a trusted partner with customers. The Sales Engineer has a wide range of responsibilities including but not limited to; maintaining and developing (Land & Expand) existing customers; prospecting for new customers (lead-generation); on-site technical support and training; product support and development; large and small group sales; technical presentations; and project management. This position requires travel by both car and air, and some travel may be required on very short notice.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The Sales Engineer is responsible for the following objectives set forth in the established business plan and overall company programs and directives:

Performance/Administrative:

Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts.

  • Establish a high level of goodwill in working relationships with customers.
  • Arrange sales meetings with potential new customers and communicate product + service offerings.
  • Develop superior product knowledge on a wide range of products, procedures, services and systems.
  • Provide on-site technical support for the installation of products and services
  • Develop applications solutions for OEMs and MTDs to integrate products, systems and procedures.

Direct, supervise, and recruit distributors to accomplish documented sales goals and objectives.

Direct, supervise, and support construction/installation crews.

Keep management informed by submitting various reports and plans.

Resolve customer issues by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.

Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, new developments, and merchandising techniques.

Collect customer and prospect VoC to ensure the Company is fully satisfying our customers and to get ahead of industry trends/movements.

Working Conditions:

More than likely will work remotely and will travel to support customers and develop business.

Required to work in a wide range of conditions. Some situations will require a well-dressed professional in a suit, while others require PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, steel toe boots, etc.

Some project sites are very physically demanding.

Must possess the ability to work and be productive in a wide range of conditions and situations.

The Sales Engineers schedule is very fluid in nature. A Sales Engineer must be very flexible and be able to adapt quickly to changing schedules and priorities.

Qualifications/Education/Experience

College bachelor's degree preferred.

Two (2) to three (3) years experience in one or more: Outside Technical/Industrial Sales, Direct Industrial Manufacturing and/or Management, Construction Management.

Credit given for demonstrated project management specifically focused in machine installations.

Proficiency in the use of:

Windows Office Suite

MS Office 365

Construction Documents (CAD/SW)

Contact Management (CRM)
