Test Engineer

Background / high-level overview of services is to provide:

• Metrology of optical components (lens, mirrors, etc.) fabricated under different techniques.
• Writing script for data analysis/visualization (plus, better to have)
• Independently coordinate with XFN teams

Onsite support at contract manufacturers (CM) and vendor sites to implement manufacturing tests, troubleshoot and solve issues during NPI build and mass production

Work with engineering team to define test requirements and methodology, identify test strategy that meets both technical and business considerations

Interface with internal and external cross-functional teams to assist in the development and deployment of test procedures.

Work with CM test engineers and tester suppliers to provide guidance and support as necessary in test methods, equipment, test set-ups, and tester qualifications.

Coordination of and travel to suppliers to establish technical and manufacturing processes required during product development and mass production

Description of Tasks performed and specific Deliverables:

Provide technical evaluations and feedback on engineering test requirement and specifications.

Develop test automation and/or assembly fixtures in collaboration with company's Contract Manufacturers, fixture equipment vendors, and supply chain vendors, in support of the company cross-functional team.

Conduct DFT analysis to improve process efficiency, reduce cycle times, and increase functional and test yields.

Review test data and generate data report.

Lead efforts for failure analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation as related to testers and testing processes.

End-to-end bring up and qualification including both hardware and software design of manufacturing testers.
