Job Overview
We're looking for an Engineering Project Manager to join our EPM customer's Hardware Engineering team. You will support multiple projects partnering with other engineering program managers in the US and Europe. You will work onsite at manufacturing sites and suppliers in Vietnam and Taiwan when needed and will be able to do some work remote from your home location.
Job Description
- Collaborate effectively with program management, engineering and manufacturing colleagues.
- Coordinate work at supplier sites and manufacturers such as DOE execution, NPI build readiness, NPI builds, test and validation, failure analysis, part approvals, shipping activities.
- Maintain up to date status and documentation and provide reports and analysis.
- Drive engineering risk analysis and mitigation planning.
- Proactively address issues and obstacles that may impact program timelines. Unblock the engineering team builds, escalating as necessary.
- Contribute to engineering change management, at times being the owner of changes.
- Be an advocate for program excellence, keeping the team focused on what is necessary to deliver on time and in scope.
- Address conflict head on, actively working to overcome all adversity.
- Lead improvement projects and contribute to refining the existing product development processes.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of the entire end-to-end product design and development process across Electronics, Mechanics, Firmware, experience managing DFM.
- Previous experience taking a complex product through NPI phases to mass production including direct experience leading factory builds.
- Experience working in SMT and FATP, knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of quality improvement.
- Consumer electronics experience, preferably with products with high fit and finish requirements, experience in wearable is a plus.
- Skills using project management tools such as Jira and SmartSheet.
- Knowledge of project management best practices (PMP not required)
- Knowledge of PLM systems such as Team Center or Arena.
- Fluent communication in English.
This is a contract role to support Oura's initiatives. This role will be employed by SCRG (not Oura), but will work closely with Oura teams and play a meaningful role in supporting Oura growth in the region.
