Overview

SDE (Supplier Development Engineering) team is making the cars of the future a reality. We handle all production processes and supplier development strategies: from contracts and purchasing, to designs for improved manufacturing, through quality control and delivery. We collaborate actively with customer engineering teams as well as external suppliers and partners to make sure everything is built with highest quality and delivered on time to meet the rising demands of our business.

Location: Incheon, South Korea

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to evaluate manufacturing capabilities, quality management systems (QMS), and technical compliance, to the defined control plans.
  • Define and implement critical-to-quality (CTQ) parameters and inspection standards for mechanical and electronic components.
  • Drive supplier development initiatives to improve process yields and reduce variability in the supply chain.
  • Lead root-cause analysis investigations for component failures using tools like 8D, 5Whys, and Fishbone diagrams. Manage the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process to ensure suppliers implement permanent technical solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Oversee the disposition of non-conforming materials (MRB) and coordinate rework or replacement activities with cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze field failure data and warranty returns to identify long-term component reliability trends in collaboration with the Reliability team.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical or mechanical manufacturing quality/supplier development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering is a plus
  • Direct hands-on experience with LED/mini-LED SMT/PCBA manufacturing, with a solid understanding of the SMT process flow and key process controls (SPI, placement, reflow profiling, AOI/AXI, ESD, traceability).
  • Experience working with plastic injection molding suppliers (housing parts) and/or sub-assembly processes (end product/module assembly).
  • Capable of analyzing dimensional/quality data using statistical tools/software (e.g., JMP, Minitab, SPC, Cpk, MSA/GR&R).
  • Strong problem-solving experience leading 8D/CAPA with measurable outcomes.
  • Good technical English communication skills (audits, reports, supplier discussions).
