Job Overview

  • The role will focus on product development, making sure the project success from proto to MP stage.
  • ME TPM are responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process. Resolve manufacturing and field challenges by applying knowledge and skills, escalating design, manufacturing, and product issues to others within the organization when appropriate. Identify, initiate, and drive process improvements that reduce process cycle times and cost, while maintaining exceptional quality.

Job Description

  • Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, production capacity and equipment layout.
  • Observe and qualify related field issues with product, implementing changes to product and process which correct issues. Monitors corrective results.
  • Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes, implementing and initiating change control processes.
  • Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
  • Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Establish and confirm manufacturing processes standards; implementing and initiating change control processes at the CMs.
  • Propose and manage DOE to develop and verify process improvements.
  • Drive Dfx process to improve process and assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintain and improve product and processes quality by writing process control, contributing DFx for new design.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have at least 6-8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with consumer electronics products in FATP (Final Assembly Testing & Packaging) process.
  • Automation hands-on working experience is required. It could be automation mechanic R&D, TPM or software (including vision software).
  • BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • CREO/Solid works experience is a plus.
  • Strong English communication skills (written & public speaking).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant manufacturing process and product development experience on wearable devices.
  • Proven experience developing solid, effective technical relationships with contract manufacturers/vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence the product design process by proposing improvements with data.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well with multi-geo teams, efficiently collaborate to achieve project goals, contribute positively to the engineering community and manage complex projects spanning multiple technologies.
  • Demonstrated the availability of local resources such as equipment suppliers, fabrication service suppliers and labs.
