Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical components: cold plates, manifolds, brackets, enclosures, racks
- Define mechanical interfaces between PCBA, cold plate, hoses, and connectors
- Select materials (e.g., copper, aluminum, EPDM) based on thermal and mechanical requirements
- Ensure manufacturability, assembly, and serviceability
- Support leak test, pressure test, and mechanical qualification
- Perform tolerance analysis and stress evaluation
- Collaborate with vendors for fabrication and prototype builds
- Support DFMEA / PFMEA from a mechanical perspective
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years experience in mechanical design for electronics or cooling systems
- Proficient in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, NX, or similar)
- Knowledge of fluid connectors, seals, hoses, and pressure-rated components
- Experience with prototype build and factory support
- Familiar with manufacturing processes (CNC, brazing, welding, assembly)
- English required (professional working proficiency)
