About the job Manufacturing Test Engineer-SW
Location: Suzhou
Responsibility:
Implement, develop, and sustain all test systems across the Waveguide, Display Assembly, and Final Assembly, Test, and Pack (FATP) processes.
Key Deliverables:
- Test System Sustaining: Provide on-site, on-demand support and station software changes/fixes for 35+ test processes across multiple floors.
- Debug & Root-Cause: Root-cause, debug, and implement corrective actions for all factory test failure modes.
- System Configuration: Configure, install, and maintain a world-class test platform for optical, digital, RF, and acoustic board-level and product-level testing.
- NPI Support: Drive new test program implementation, tester debug, and test changes for New Product Introduction.
- Performance Metrics: Drive test Gauge R&R to achieve targeted manufacturing yield and cycle time goals and analyze test station data.
- IP Protection: Manage security and protection of Magic Leap's core IP within the test environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of combined experience in consumer electronics manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience with high-volume, world-class design and manufacturing techniques.
- Strong experience with NPI and prototype builds and understanding of product development and manufacturing procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot systems and interpret statistical data.
- Excellent written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Rudimentary knowledge of developmental and scripting languages (C++, C#, Python), experience with test and measurement instrumentation, and experience in Windows and Linux OS environments.
Ability to read and understand tester logs and debug files", "ability to learn new automation software systems and platforms". Under the requirements we can add "Programming languages (Python, C#) a plus"
