SDE (Supplier Development Engineering) team is making the cars of the future a reality.
We handle all production processes and supplier development strategies: from contracts and purchasing, to designs for improved manufacturing, through quality control and delivery. We collaborate actively with customer engineering teams as well as external suppliers and partners to make sure everything is built with highest quality and delivered on time to meet the rising demands of our business.
Main Responsibilities
- Establish and monitor the implementation of Incoming Quality Control (IQC) inspection plans at Final Assembly, Test, and Pack (FATP) Contract Manufacturers (CMs).
- Manage metrology capabilities and drive Gauge R&R / correlation studies between upstream component suppliers and downstream assembly sites to ensure measurement alignment.
- Drive the resolution of component quality issues discovered during the FATP process, leading the Material Review Board (MRB) for the disposition of non-conforming materials.
- Lead root-cause investigations for component failures using standard quality tools (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone). Manage the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process to ensure suppliers implement robust, permanent technical solutions.
- Conduct regular supplier audits and performance assessments to evaluate manufacturing capabilities, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and technical compliance.
- Track and analyze supplier quality performance metrics (e.g., DPPM, yield rates), hosting regular reviews to drive continuous supplier improvement.
- Partner with NPI and Design Engineering during early development phases to define
- Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) specifications and validate component inspection readiness prior to mass production.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in mechanical, optical or electrical manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering is a plus
- Experience in FATP, Module, Sub-module assembly, plastic injection, metal casting is preferred
- Capable of improving the process using DMAIC and data analysis software (e.g., JMP, Minitab)
- Good communication skills in English
