Job Purpose

The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing electrical systems and hardware solutions for complex manufacturing products. This role involves leading technical problem-solving initiatives, ensuring high-quality electrical designs for new product introductions (NPI), and supporting organizational goals in achieving total customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design & Development: Develop, review, and modify electrical design plans, schematics, and wiring diagrams using advanced CAD/EDA tools.
  2. Technical Problem Solving: Identify root causes of complex electrical failures and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) using engineering principles.
  3. Project Leadership: Lead electrical engineering work packages for major projects, providing feedback on timescales, progress, and resource allocation to management.
  4. Process Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Software, and Process) to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into the manufacturing line.
  5. Mentorship: Supervise and develop junior engineers and technicians to enhance their technical knowledge and working abilities.
  6. Quality & Compliance: Ensure all electrical designs adhere to safety regulations, industry standards (e.g., IEC, IPC), and customer-specific quality requirements.
  7. Supplier & Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with external vendors for component selection, equipment fabrication, and technical support.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Education: B.Eng. or M.Eng. in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience: 7+ years of practical experience in electrical design or manufacturing engineering.
  • Technical Skills: * Proficiency in CAD/EDA software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, Altium Designer, OrCAD, or SolidWorks Electrical).
  • Experience with circuit simulation tools (e.g., PSpice, MATLAB/Simulink).
  • Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and curve tracers.
  • Language: Fluent in both written and spoken English.
