About the job Supplier Development Engineer (BMU & SiP)
As a Supplier Development Engineer (SDE), you are a technical bridge between our design requirements and supplier manufacturing realities. You will drive the development and deployment of the process requirements and quality standards for Battery Management Unit (BMU) and System in Package (SiP) manufacturing. You will be involved in process optimization and quality validation during NPI stages. You need to monitor the quality performance for mass production (MP) projects and support to close the FA feedback from battery pack and system level.
Responsibilities (R&R)
- Monitoring the yield performance for MP across the NPI to MP build, driving the improvement on the yield.
- Support the root cause analysis and corrective action implementation feedback by battery pack house or FATP.
- Support GSM team on the PRQ for control run validation in BMU and SIP level.
- Validation on the manufacturing process and quality plan through the NIP build including reviewing custom fixtures, measurement methodology, tester GRR and correlation etc.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Team on DFM discussion with suppliers for high-yield production and low manufacturing risks.
Technical Skill Requirements (Required)
- Deep understanding of PCBA assembly process including SMT, Reflow profiles, Underfill, and ICT/FCT testing etc.
- Understanding of fundamental consideration of building battery BMU and SIP in NPI and MP stages.
- Familiarity with quality tools (JMP, Minitab etc.) for data analysis and DOE design and execution
Technical Skill Requirements (Preferred)
- Familiarity with SIP processes and being able to drive overmolding related DOEs.
- Understanding of the battery management unit (BMU) related function test for both SIP and BMU level.
