About the Role
We are looking for a Hardware Test Engineer to support test station development, production test readiness, and manufacturing test operations for complex electronic products. This role will work closely with manufacturing partners to bring up, qualify, troubleshoot, and maintain production testers at PCBA, subassembly, and module level.
This is a strong fit for someone with hands-on electrical engineering experience, solid Python skills, and a background in test development and manufacturing support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain hardware and software for production test stations (PCBA, subassembly and module level testing)
- Support PCBA, subassembly, and module-level test bring-up, validation, and troubleshooting
- Provide technical leadership to manufacturing partners on tester bring-up, qualification, maintenance, and issue resolution
- Drive root cause analysis for test yield issues and support yield improvement actions
- Manage test capacity planning with manufacturing partners to support production needs
- Develop troubleshooting guides and rework procedures
- Define tester requirements and specifications, and work with vendors on tester development
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related field
- Strong experience with digital interfaces
- Strong hands-on EE lab skills, including PCBA bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting
- Experience in Python software development
- Good English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Linux networking and network infrastructure
- Experience working with contract manufacturers, especially in Asia
- Experience with digital and analog circuit design or analysis
- Experience in tester qualification and manufacturing test environments
- Able to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
