Report to VP of Operations and manage all operations in Taiwan, including entity legal compliance, people management, recruiting, budget oversight, customer interfacing, back-office operations, and accounting and financial governance.

Support and drive global strategy by deploying new technologies and automation to improve productivity and streamline processes, while actively supporting business development efforts, bringing in new opportunities, and setting up new business models to support the companys growth

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Entity Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure full compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements (tax, VAT/GST, social security, labor law, etc.).
  • Maintain continuous legal and regulatory compliance of the Taiwan entity.
  • Establish, document, and continuously update site policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Source, evaluate, and manage service providers for accounting, payroll, insurance, and other essential services.
  • Manage office facilities, including site selection, lease negotiation, and vendor relationships.
  • Conduct pricing comparisons and vendor selection for all operational services.
  • Ensure accurate inventory control, tracking, and periodic audits.

2. Talent Management

  • Lead recruitment for customer-facing and internal positions.
  • Conduct or delegate technical interviews as appropriate.
  • Oversee onboarding and orientation of new employees and ensure completion of required documentation.
  • Monitor employee performance; set goals, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans through coaching and mentoring.
  • Supervise cross-functional teams and provide constructive performance feedback.
  • Manage employee relations and welfare to foster a productive and positive work environment.
  • Analyze compensation and benefits trends to support retention strategies.
  • Plan and lead employee engagement and team-building activities.

3. Budget Management

  • Develop, control, and optimize the operating budget.
  • Identify and execute cost-reduction opportunities without compromising service quality.
  • Maximize resource utilization and minimize idle capacity.
  • Prepare and submit monthly cash funding requests to SCRG Inc.
  • Forecast and manage annual budgets.

4. Payroll, Accounting & Finance

  • Review and approve expenses and payroll; authorize payments and transfers.
  • Ensure accurate expense classification and timely submission to accounting.
  • Review monthly financial reports and support corporate accounting requests.
  • Coordinate and support annual financial audits.

5. Legal Representative

  • Act as the companys legal representative in Taiwan.
  • Review, approve, and sign contracts and official documents on behalf of the company.

6. Customer Focus & Operations Leadership

  • Serve as the primary escalation point and single point of contact for customers.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships across operational and technical matters.
  • Facilitate customer requests related to IT assets, software, travel, leave, WFH, and workforce management.
  • Lead bi-annual customer satisfaction surveys; analyze results and drive improvement actions.
  • Work closely with Account Managers to retain and expand existing accounts.
  • Support new customer onboarding and relationship development.
  • Lead and support component sourcing and supplier selection initiatives; review deliverables prior to customer release.

7. Business Development & Growth Initiatives

  • Identify new business leads and opportunities; collaborate with the sales team to pursue them.
  • Support the introduction and setup of new business models aligned with company strategy.
  • Contribute to brand positioning and maintain a strong SCRG market image.

8. Other Responsibilities

  • Support cross-functional and corporate initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required (technical background preferred); MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of management experience, preferably in an international business environment.
  • Experience in EMS or manufacturing-related industries strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain operations.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; experience in business or entity setup is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to engage at all organizational levels.
  • Proven leadership in people management and budget planning.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and solution-driven with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Fluent in English and local language(s).
