Customer Service Advisor - Healthcare

 Job Description:

Our client, a World-renowned BPO in Cape Town, is looking for Healthcare Customer Advisors to join their growing team.

As a Healthcare Customer Advisor, you will handle majorly inbound. Ensure a positive customer experience and maintains an in-depth knowledge of customer needs.

Essential Functions

  • Addressing incoming telephone, digital, or written inquiries
  • Assist customer with complex benefit questions, resolving issues, and educating healthcare members
  • Strong attention to detail and complex problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication, empathy and motivational skills
  • Understands and addresses customer needs which may include complex benefit questions, resolving issues, and educating Members. Records details of inquiries, comments or complaints, transactions or interactions and takes action in accordance with it
  • Escalates unresolved and pending customer grievances

Minimum requirements

  • South African citizen
  • Must have a National Senior Certificate (Matric Certificate)
  • Must have a Clear Credit record, non-negotiable
  • Must have a Clear Criminal record, non-negotiable
  • Must be willing to work night shift, non-negotiable
  • Must have 1-year unbroken call centre experience from UK or USA Market
  • 1 year Healthcare Industry experience - advantageous
  • Neutral English Accent (mandatory)
  • Clear written and verbal communication with CEF Level B2-8

Salary: Market related, Shift Allowance, Medical Allowance, Provident Fund, Pay for Performance

Shifts and benefits:

  • Monday to Sunday 9-hour rotational shifts (3PM-3AM) Could change based on requirements (5 days working, 2 days off)


  • Free Transport to Home - within 35km radius from CBD, if scheduled to work after 18h00 pm (SA time) Monday to Sunday

Location - Based in Cape Town, CBD
