Junior Administrator - Tax Dept

 Job Description:

Our client, a boutique Accounting Consultancy based in Century City, Cape Town, is seeking a dynamic young lady to join their team as a Junior Administrator to provide essential administrative support within their tax department.

***Salary - R7,000 pm first 3 x months, thereafter R10,000 pm

Qualifications/Skills Required:

To excel in this role, we are looking for individuals with the following qualifications and skills:

  • Most recently completed either High School or College/University 
  • Proficient in Afrikaans and English (verbal and written)
  • Proven ability to take initiative and work independently, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in reporting and client relations
  • Demonstrated administration skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Responsibilities:

This entails a range of tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Income tax number registration and reactivation
  • Managing SARS notices
  • Preparing documents for the Tax Manager
  • Handling SARS e-filing processes
  • Scheduling and attending SARS appointments
  • Managing daily SARS communications
  • Managing the Complaints process
  • Overseeing email correspondence
  • Updating RAV01 on e-filing
  • Assisting with income tax number deregistration
  • Coordinating SARS audit management
  • Maintaining timelines and task coordination through Monday.com boards
  • Any other tasks related to tax administration as required
