Automotive Parts Specialist

Location: Cape Town CBD (Workshop17) | Onsite Role

About the Role

Were looking for a detail-oriented Automotive Parts Specialist to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, youll identify and recommend the correct spare parts for a wide range of vehicles. Using your technical expertise and catalogue knowledge, youll support both internal teams and external customers.

If youre passionate about cars, confident with VIN-code selection, and skilled at navigating OEM and aftermarket catalogues, this is a great opportunity for you.

What Youll Do

• Identify and recommend spare parts using VIN numbers, OEM numbers, car data, or part images.
• Search across multiple catalogues (OEM, Partslink24, etc.) to ensure accurate part selection.
• Advise on part applicability and compatibility.
• Work with OEM and aftermarket catalogues to match the right parts.
• Deliver professional technical support for smooth customer experiences.

What You Need to Succeed

• 2+ years experience in spare part selection (VIN-code & car-data).
• Strong knowledge of vehicle construction and operation.
• Hands-on experience with OEM and aftermarket catalogues.
• Familiarity with leading technical programs (Partslink24, OEM catalogues, etc.).
• Knowledge of aftermarket spare parts brands (Bosch, Hella, Valeo, etc.).
• Strong PC skills and ability to work across multiple systems.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.

Assessment Requirement

Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a technical assessment. A minimum score of 8/10 is needed to progress.
