Group HR Manager
Job Description:
Our client is looking to employ a Group HR Manager
Are you a hands‑on HR professional who thrives on building structures, shaping culture, and partnering directly with business leaders? We're seeking a dynamic Group HR Manager to own the full people function across a growing, multi‑brand financial services group.
This is a high‑impact role where you'll design and drive HR strategy while staying close to operations. It's ideal for a strategic thinker who enjoys both building systems from the ground up and rolling up their sleeves to keep them running day‑to‑day.
Role Overview
Working closely with the CEO and business leaders, you will lead and continuously improve all HR functions across the group. Your mission is to ensure the organisation has the right people, in the right roles, performing at a high level within a compliant and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Organisational Design
- Develop and implement a group-wide people strategy aligned to business growth.
- Advise leadership on organisational structure and workforce planning.
- Drive culture, performance, and change management initiatives.
HR Systems & Process Implementation
- Build and implement HR processes, policies, and SOPs across all entities.
- Lead HRIS implementation and optimisation.
- Introduce automation, workflows, and reporting to improve efficiency.
- Implement and manage LMS and HR CRM systems.
Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment across all business units.
- Manage and develop the internal recruitment team.
- Build talent pipelines, especially for high-volume contact centre roles.
- Strengthen employer brand across digital platforms.
Performance & Development
- Design and implement performance management frameworks and KPIs.
- Drive performance culture, coaching, and PIP processes.
- Lead training and development initiatives, including SETA compliance (WSP/ATR).
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Manage all ER matters (disciplinaries, grievances, incapacity, CCMA).
- Ensure full compliance with SA labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, EEA, POPIA).
- Oversee policies, EE plans, and transformation initiatives.
Payroll, Benefits & Reporting
- Partner with Finance on payroll governance and CTC structures.
- Manage employee benefits (medical aid, funeral cover, group risk, etc.).
- Deliver monthly HR reporting and insights to EXCO.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in HR / Industrial Psychology (Honours preferred).
- Experience: 5–7 years of HR experience, with 2–3 years at HR Manager level.
- Industry: Proven experience in financial services and contact centre environments.
- Technical: Hands-on Sage HR experience is non-negotiable.
- Legal: Strong knowledge of SA labour legislation and CCMA processes.
- Systems: Experience implementing HR systems, performance frameworks, and LMS.
- Skills: Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Education:
- Bachelors (Required)
Experience:
- HR Management experience: 5 years (Preferred)
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: R420 000 - R600 000 per annum depending on experience
Work Location: In Office
