Presales Consultant

We sell a world leading governance, risk and compliance (GRC) software and are in search of a strong pre-sales consultant. This individual will play a vital role in generating revenue and ensure prospects have a strong understanding for the value our software offers. The candidate will be responsible for product demonstrations and assist the services team with proof of concepts (POCs) and sales team with tender responses.

Reporting to: Head of Revenue for various regions

Management level of role: This is not a management role

Working environment & travel: Exceptionally busy, team-orientated environment. This role could require some travel nationally. Drivers license and own transport is essential. (HYBRID)

Working hours: 07h30 16h00 or 08h00 to 16h30 or 08h30 to 17h00

Key deliverables

  • Prepare and demonstrate the value of the GRC software solution in presentations
  • Prepare and demonstrate the value of the GRC software solution in technical proposals.
  • Understanding clients challenges and develop solutions to create value.
  • Manage various technical validation activities such as POCs.
  • Present the value of the products to a variety of clients within the client organisation in order to advance the sales cycle.
  • Assist the sales team in generating revenue.
  • Provide detailed RFIs and RFPs
  • Interact with prospective clients at a senior level
  • Understand the business requirements of the prospective customers and recommend the optimal solution to meet their needs
  • Stay up to date with the full product range and its functionality.

Technical knowledge, skills & abilities

  • Excellent written communication skills, such as experience of preparing proposals and responses to tenders.
  • Experience own managing POC activities at customer premises.
  • Ability to communicate a technical message with business relevance to a non-technical audience as well as a technical audience
  • Excellent presentation abilities and composure in front of all levels of technical and business customers or prospects

  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and networking skills.
  • Ability to confidently communicate with C-suite individuals.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and thrive under pressure.
  • Ability to multi-task and work across multiple projects and clients, without dropping-the-ball.
  • Well-spoken and presentable with exceptional presentation skills.

Education & qualifications

  • Matric certificate.
  • Bachelor's degree

Details of experience

  • At least three years of experience in a pre-sales consulting role, preferably software solutions.
  • Excellent presentation abilities to all levels in a business i.e., Tech/ C-level
  • Ideally have experience in the Audit/GRC software space
