Medical Oncologist (Locum Tenens) | Part-Time

Recruiting on behalf of our client, we are seeking a Board-Certified Medical Oncologist to provide high-quality oncology care to Veterans in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This flexible locum tenens opportunity offers part-time coverage with the potential for a long-term assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical oncology evaluations, consultations, and treatment plans
• Manage oncology patients in outpatient clinics and inpatient settings
• Evaluate referrals and develop individualized treatment strategies
• Collaborate with primary care providers and multidisciplinary care teams
• Participate in oncology consultation and call coverage as scheduled
• Maintain timely clinical documentation and support quality-of-care initiatives

Schedule

• Part-time, flexible coverage (24-40 hours per week)
• Clinic hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, approximately 3 days per week
• On-call coverage required approximately 17 weeks annually, including evenings, nights, and weekends
• Alternative scheduling options may be available

Required Qualifications

• Doctorate Degree (MD or DO)
• Board Certified in Medical Oncology
• Current BLS certification (AHA BLS or ARC BLS)
• Current ACLS, ALS, or ATLS certification
