2nd Shift (3PM - 12AM)

The Safety Coordinator partners with plant leadership to promote a proactive safety culture by identifying, mitigating, and eliminating workplace hazards. This role supports the Safety Manager in implementing and maintaining environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Safety Manager in reviewing, updating, and implementing safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Partner with plant operations and cross-functional teams to evaluate work practices and recommend risk-reduction improvements
  • Lead incident reporting and investigation processes, including root cause analysis, corrective action assignment, and closure tracking
  • Develop and deliver monthly safety training for all plant associates
  • Conduct specialized safety training and continuously evaluate training effectiveness
  • Perform routine audits and inspections to ensure compliance with corporate safety programs and regulatory standards

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (assembly and/or machine shop)
  • Supervisory experience in a high-volume, fast-paced facility
  • Safety-related experience or undergraduate degree in Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Certifications (Preferred)

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • CPE, CSP, or CIH
