The MRI Supervisor is responsible for the daily clinical and operational performance of the MRI department, ensuring high-quality imaging services, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination of clinical workflows. This role supports departmental success through the development and implementation of policies, procedures, training, and best practices that promote standardization, performance improvement, and operational efficiency.

The MRI Supervisor collaborates closely with Diagnostic Imaging leadership to oversee staff competencies, training initiatives, and departmental projects. This position ensures exceptional customer service and quality standards and serves as the organization's primary resource for MRI-related operations and clinical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the MRI department, ensuring quality and efficiency in service delivery.

  • Monitor compliance with all regulatory agencies and internal policies and procedures.

  • Develop, implement, and refine departmental policies, procedures, and training programs.

  • Lead performance improvement initiatives, optimize workflow processes, and drive standardization across the department.

  • Ensure appropriate staff training, orientation, and competency validation.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for MRI practices and technologies across the organization.

  • Maintain high levels of customer service and patient satisfaction.

  • Support departmental budgeting, staffing, and equipment planning as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates Degree from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an MRI Technologist.

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Current certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(MR) OR certification through the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) with the requirement to obtain ARRT(MR) certification within 12 months of hire or transfer into the department.

  • Valid Venipuncture Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or management experience in an MRI department, preferably within a hospital setting.

  • Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration, Radiologic Sciences, or a related field.

  • Bilingual in Spanish.

Compensation: 98-135k annually
