Manager Financial Clearance

Manager Financial Clearance career opportunity with our healthcare client in Coos Bay, OR.

Our client is seeking a Manager Financial Clearance to provide oversight and direction for Financial Clearance Teams. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of relevant Hospital Policies, Practices and HIPAA regulations, as well as experience with computerized hospital, clinical and financial systems. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Provides oversight and direction for Financial Clearance Teams (Hospital and Clinic Pre-Registration and Prior Authorization, and Financial Counseling)
• Manages pre-registration, insurance and benefit verification, prior authorization and financial counseling supervisors for efficiency and effectiveness
• Monitors, benchmarks, and performance statistics
• Interacts with all Leaders of the service line for which the Manager is accountable (hospital and clinic)
• Works with individual departments, providers, and staff to support the goals and protocols of revenue cycle workflow and revenue affecting tasks
• Partners with Payor Relations to identify payor issues and trends hospital-wide

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Computerized hospital, clinical and financial systems (2+ years)
• Supervisory or management experience in a healthcare setting or related field (5+ years)
