Data Conversion Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute complex data conversion projects from source to target systems
• Analyze, map, and transform data between different agency management systems
• Develop and maintain data conversion procedures and documentation
• Validate data integrity throughout the conversion process
• Mentor team members and provide technical guidance
• Create and maintain detailed project timelines and status reports
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and business rules
• Perform quality assistance checks on converted data
• Troubleshoot and resolve data conversion issues
• Create best practices and review work quality
• Provide technical guidance and lead project planning
• Run team meetings and create training materials

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years working in data conversion or similar roles
• 3+ years working with insurance agency management systems
• Proven success in leading data conversion projects and technical teams
• Good knowledge of insurance data standards
• Has passion for data accuracy
• Lead by example while maintaining high standards of quality
• Able to balance multiple priorities while ensuring precise execution of data conversion projects
• Able to think strategically about data conversion challenges while maintaining meticulous attention to detail in day-to-day operations
• Expert in Microsoft Excel: complex formulas, VBA/macro programming, Power Query, pivot tables, charts, data cleaning, conditional formatting, and array formulas
• Experienced with Agency Management Systems like Applied Epic and Vertafore AMS360, etc.
• Skilled in SQL, data cleaning tools, text manipulation, and database management
• Strong project management and team leadership skills
• Great organizational and team communication skills
• Good problem solving and able to manage multiple projects at once
• Coordinating teams and working with stakeholders; training other members and sharing knowledge and best practices
• Knowledge in programming or scripting is a plus
• Familiarity with cloud systems and data security is a plus
