Oracle Hyperion Techno-Functional Consultant

 POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Hyperion Techno-Functional Consultant to join its ICT division in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end administration, support, and continuous improvement of the Oracle Hyperion EPM environment, serving both internal stakeholders and external entities across Qatar. The role demands a strong blend of technical depth and functional understanding of financial consolidation, budgeting, and planning processes.

 ROLE PURPOSE

The Oracle Hyperion Techno-Functional Consultant will:

• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for the Oracle Hyperion EPM suite.
• Ensure the stability, security, and high availability of all Hyperion environments (Production, Test, DR, Development).
• Bridge the gap between technical infrastructure management and functional financial reporting requirements.
• Support and enable the user community across Qatar in effectively using Hyperion tools.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 System Administration

• Administer Oracle Hyperion systems including Essbase, Planning Server, FDQM, and HFM.
• Maintain Production, Test, Disaster Recovery, and Development instances of Hyperion infrastructure.
• Perform Hyperion application patch management and version control.
• Manage complete Hyperion environment security per best practices and compliance standards.
• Set up and maintain user access within Shared Services for Hyperion Planning and Essbase.

 Operations & Environment Management

• Execute environment operation activities including upgrades, backup and recovery, capacity management, production code deployments, and failover testing.
• Perform continuous monitoring and performance tuning for Hyperion accounting and financial software.
• Plan and execute deployment of new Hyperion environments (Functional and Technical).
• Coordinate Hyperion FDMEE data loads from Oracle EBS.
• Deploy and maintain financial data within the Hyperion EPM suite on an ongoing basis.

 Financial & Reporting Support

• Maintain budgeting and planning allocations within Hyperion Planning.
• Create and maintain standard financial reports.
• Support the business in performing systemic month-end closing processes.
• Analyze Hyperion environment reports, reconciliations, and related financial documents.

 Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

• Maintain and test data backups; plan and execute disaster recovery practices.
• Maintain Disaster Recovery Infrastructure for Hyperion.
• Coordinate Hyperion environment backup operations and testing in conjunction with the Backup Administrator.

 Documentation & Governance

• Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive system administration documentation.
• Develop and maintain archiving policies and processes for the Hyperion environment.
• Ensure all activities comply with IT governance, audit requirements, and organizational policies.

 User Community Support

• Provide expert-level support for Smart View, Essbase Excel Add-in, and Reporting Studio to end users.
• Enable and support external entity user communities across Qatar.
• Conduct user training sessions and knowledge transfer activities as required.

 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
• Oracle Hyperion certifications are an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 8–10 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Hyperion products.
• Proven experience in Hyperion Essbase and Planning administration.
• Demonstrated experience leading system upgrades and major EPM environment deployments.
• Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments, preferably in the Gulf region.
