Job Purpose

The Scaffolding Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating all scaffolding erection, modification, and dismantling activities in compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and regulations. The role ensures scaffolding work is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality, while also managing scaffolding crews and resources.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise all scaffolding erection, modification, and dismantling works to ensure compliance with project standards, procedures, and safety regulations.

  • Conduct Toolbox Talks / Safety Talks with scaffold erection crews prior to starting work, highlighting hazards and preventive measures.

  • Verify that the work area and supporting structures are suitable for scaffolding installation, ensuring stability and adequate load distribution.

  • Manage scaffolding crews in the safe handling, transferring, storing, and disposal of scaffolding materials.

  • Provide accurate scaffolding reports and maintain records as required by the project.

  • Conduct preliminary inspections of erected scaffolds, checking all members, parts, and connections before tagging and use.

  • Ensure scaffolding structures meet design and project specifications and are erected in accordance with industry standards.

  • Supervise housekeeping activities after scaffolding works are completed to maintain a safe and organized site.

  • Ensure compliance with clients safety policies, procedures, and project-specific safety requirements.

  • Support continuous improvement by providing feedback and technical guidance to crews.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.

  • Valid scaffolding supervision/inspection certification.

  • Minimum 5 years of scaffolding supervision experience in the Oil & Gas industry (Qatar experience preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of scaffolding standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.

  • Proven experience in managing scaffolding crews and coordinating multiple site activities.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
