Primary Purpose of the Role

To assist pipe fabricators and welders in fabrication, installation, and maintenance activities by efficiently and safely using tools and equipment. The role ensures smooth execution of piping and structural work in refinery and industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pipe fabricators and welders in daily fabrication and installation activities.
• Perform maintenance work on refinery equipment including vessels, heat exchangers, furnaces, towers, and related systems.
• Support fabrication and welding of pipes, pressure vessels, and steel structures.
• Operate and handle fabrication tools such as grinders, spanners, and cutting tools safely and effectively.
• Ensure proper preparation and handling of materials before welding and fabrication.
• Maintain safety standards and follow all site safety procedures.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repair activities during maintenance works.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in pipe fabrication and maintenance works in refinery, oil & gas, or industrial sectors.
• Hands-on experience assisting welders and fabricators in complex fabrication tasks.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of fabrication tools and equipment.
• Ability to use grinders, power hacksaws, drilling machines, plate shearing machines, and similar tools.
• Good understanding of fabrication drawings and basic measurements.
• Awareness of safety practices in industrial environments.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in demanding work conditions.

Qualifications & Certifications

• Skilled and experienced in assisting pipe fabrication and welding activities.
• Practical knowledge of fabrication tools and machinery is mandatory.
• Relevant technical training or certification is an added advantage.
