About the job Fire and Safety Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, test, and maintain firefighting systems and PPE such as SCBA, BA airline systems, and fire extinguishers.

  • Conduct regular checks for gas detection and monitoring equipment and maintain accurate logs.

  • Support hot work, confined space, and work-at-height controls as per PTW requirements.

  • Assist in conducting emergency drills and ensure proper staging of safety equipment.

Minimum Qualifications / Certifications:

  • NEBOSH certification.

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in fire/safety equipment maintenance.

  • Valid drivers license.

Minimum Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Oil & Gas or petrochemical operations.

Job-Specific Skills (Must/Preferred):

  • Hands-on training and experience with gas detection and monitoring systems.

  • Strong knowledge of SCBA and BA airline operations.

  • Proven experience in equipment inspection and maintenance.

  • Defensive driving certification is an advantage.
