A new pediatric-focused Speech, Physical, and Occupational Therapy Center is launching in Johns Creek, Atlanta, GA. The clinic is strategically located in the lobby of a high-traffic medical building, offering excellent visibility, built-in referrals, and convenience for families.
The center's mission is simple: deliver exceptional therapy services for children, emphasizing quality care, innovation, and meaningful community impact.
This is not a typical staff SLP role it's a rare opportunity to earn profit-sharing while helping build a center of excellence from the ground up, supported by experienced partners in healthcare operations, real estate, and business development.
Role Overview
The Founding Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will serve as both clinician and collaborator, providing direct pediatric therapy while shaping the clinical standards, culture, and growth of the new center.
You'll have operational and marketing support behind you, but the vision, care philosophy, and patient experience will be yours to define.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy for pediatric clients (ages 212).
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and track measurable progress.
- Collaborate closely with Physical and Occupational Therapists for coordinated multidisciplinary care.
- Build strong relationships with families, caregivers, and referring providers.
- Help refine clinic processes, documentation, and scheduling workflows.
- Contribute to early hiring and mentorship as the practice expands.
- Support community outreach, school partnerships, and marketing initiatives.
Requirements
Must-Have:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology License in Georgia
- 3+ years pediatric experience (clinic, school, or hospital setting)
- Excellent communication and family engagement skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset eager to help shape and grow a new practice
- Willingness to provide in-person therapy at the Johns Creek location
Nice-to-Have:
- Prior leadership or private practice experience
- Feeding/swallowing expertise
- Bilingual (English + Spanish or other local languages)
- Interest in business development or clinical supervision
