LBE Technician, Logic and Accuracy Tester, Field Support Technician, Training Coordinator and Trainer positions available through the State of Maryland. These are contract positions through November 2024. The non-negotiable pay rates are generally $26.00-$30.00 per hour. The non-negotiable pay rate for the Trainer position only is $35.00 per hour.
Essential Duties:
- The LBE Technician will be setting up election equipment in their assigned precinct and ensure all voting machines, e-pollbooks, cords, cables and outlets are working and connected to ensure the voting sites open on time.
- The Logic and Accuracy Tester will perform unit testing to ensure code functionality and quality for ballots, scanners, ballot marking devices, create and maintain test documentation including test plans, test scripts/reports along with conduct regression testing to verify bug fixes and software enhancement.
- The Field Support Technician will travel within the assigned jurisdiction to resolve and troubleshoot technical issues, work with the Chief Judges and help desk, submit incident documentation using approved format and pick up ballot boxes.
- The Training Coordinator will schedule election staff at various location, respond to requests for information from the public, employees, political parties and elected officials and provide help desk along with troubleshooting assistance for poll workers in the field.
- The Trainers will assist in general instruction of elections curriculum and training materials, will lead small groups of officials and workers.
Qualifications:
- Previous election work experience is highly desired.
- Must be able to work in various jurisdictions across the State of Maryland.
- Must have own vehicle, a valid Driver's License and good driving record.
- Must be able to work between 15-30 hours weekly.
- Must be able to pass a FBI background check and drug test.
