Direct Care Staff Lead for our non profit client in Catonsville, MD. The Direct Care Staff will assist in the development, implementation, and coordination of a community-based group home program. Contract to hire position. Non-negotiable pay rate is $27.50 per hour.

Essential Duties:

  • Provides supervision to Child Care Specialist, residents, and assists with the operation of the program to provide a home like atmosphere with social and recreational programs, and activities that best meet the needs of the residents.
  • Lead, train, and mentor other direct care staff, ensuring they follow established procedures and providing a positive role model.
  • Provide and oversee direct personal care and support to clients, including assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Oversee daily care activities, monitor staff compliance with policies, and coordinate outings or community participation.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of client care activities, education and progress.
  • Assist in the investigation of accidents or other incidents, including conducting staff interviews and preparing statements
  • Coordinate and provide transportation for clients to appointments and activities.


Qualifications:

  • Two to five years experience working in a residential facility with at least two years of experience working with emotionally
  • disturbed children is required
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on emotional maturity and good written /oral communication skills. Must possess the ability to communicate with and motivate children.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must be available to work from 9:00 am-5:00 pm Monday through Friday on site.
  • Must be able to pass a FBI background check and drug test.
